The Flying W Ranch is a 7000 acre working cattle ranch that offers grand vistas, relaxation, and memorable experiences for all of its guests. Come experience the authentic cowboy lifestyle, complete with horseback riding, cattle drives, wagon rides, prairie burns, wildflower walks, star gazing, fishing and hiking in the Kansas Flint Hills.
The Flying W Ranch has four facilities offering various choices of accommodations for everything from large family reunions to single getaways. The beauty of our guest ranch is that you will stay in comfort of a rustic looking, but modern accommodations with nature just outside your door.
Catered meals are offered (for groups of 10 or more) to complement your time at the ranch, or your special occasion in the Flint Hills. Our food ranges from campfire cooking and picnic lunches to prix fixe gourmet dining.
Join us for one of our special events like the Flames in the Flint Hills or design your very own group horseback riding event. And with accommodations for large groups or small, a warm bed will be waiting for you when the sun goes down.

Pilgrim Ranch Retreat
Rest, relax and play at the Pilgrim Ranch Retreat. Activities include guided river canoeing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, hunting, hiking, or scenic Jeep rides through the Flint Hills Prairie. ATVs, golf carts, canoes and kayaks are available at the ranch. Trail riding is available for riders who bring their own horse. There is also an orchard on site with apples, pears, and cherries that are plentiful in their seasons and are yours for the taking.
Pilgrim Ranch Retreat has a cottage for up to 6 and bunkhouse for up to 7, with full kitchens and grills.
Bar U Ranch
The Bar U Ranch offers a full range of Dude Ranch experiences including Trail Rides, Cattle Drives, and Horse Training instruction.
The Bar U is a AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder raising, training, showing, and selling Ranch Horses.
The Bar U also has a bred heifer program and runs a few grass cattle.
