Through year-round programming, Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. celebrates the history, ecology and culture of the last stand of native Tallgrass Prairie through music and place-based education. The organization is best known for its Signature Event each June when 7,000 kindred spirits gather for a world-class symphony concert in an unmatched prairie setting.
The store offers a wide variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hiking sticks, field journals, artwork, books, and gifts.
WoodFest is a collaboration between Symphony In The Flint Hills & Camp Wood.
Enjoy an entire day immersed in the beauty of the Flint Hills while family members of all ages take part in music workshops, guided prairie walks, horseback rides and a twilight concert under the stars featuring guest artists.
This annual fall event takes place at Camp Wood YMCA in Elmdale, Kansas, a world-class, family-friendly facility with spacious, interior, all-weather spaces.
