We are happy to announce the Friday night jams will resume twice a month – beginning in July at Prairie PastTimes in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. For July, we will start with the 1st & 3rd Fridays. Check Facebook for the August schedule which could change, depending on how this works out. The First Friday (July 2nd) jam will be an acoustic event for bluegrass, folk, gospel & country music. The Third Friday (July 16th) will be electrified Classic Rock & Vintage Country music jam (acoustic musicians are welcome, too). Jams for July will start at 7:30 PM and end around 9:30 PM. Please note due to continued Covid-19 concerns, this is different from the normal weekly schedule you are accustomed to: different frequency, different type of music, and different event time. Other changes to protect our musicians will include: (1) Required use of disposable microphone covers (we will provide these) (2) No sharing of one microphone (3) Reduced number of chairs in the front stage area to avoid crowding. Instead, for musician seating, the front row of wood folding chairs and metal folding chairs along the sides can be used for overflow. More details will be provided at each jam by the moderators. Depending on the turnout of musicians & listeners, social distancing may be difficult to achieve, so we encourage those not vaccinated for Covid-19 to wear masks for their safety and the safety of others (including young children). We’ve missed you so much, and can’t wait to get together again. Thanks for supporting Emma Chase Friday Night Music!!!
