We have scheduled our next Flames in the Flint Hills Event for Saturday, April 8, 2017. The rain-out date is April 15, 2017.
Come join us for a great dinner, entertainment, and the annual burning of the Flint Hills. Complete the “Book Now” process, give us a call or send us an email to reserve your spot. Here is some basic information so you can get your plans started.
Date/Time: Saturday, April 8, 2017, 12:00 – 9:30pm (rain-out date: Saturday, April 15, 2017)
Location: A 7,000 acre working cattle and guest ranch near Clements, KS; just off of Highway 50. See our Maps & Directions page for directions.
Price: $110 per person including:
- Fabulous Steak Dinner
- Great music
- Hands-on participation in lighting and managing a prairie fire
- Spectacular photo opportunities
- Fascinating information about the Flint Hills and prairie burning

Josh and Gwen Hoy of the Flying W Ranch have been hosting this event for the past 6 years.
Things to Bring
Items to bring with you include: a camera; rugged outdoor all-weather clothes, gloves, and shoes; garden rake (not leaf rake) if you wish to drag fire; flashlight (for evening burn) and a sense of adventure.

If you must cancel your registration, please call 620-340-2802, or email [email protected]. Full refund (less $15 processing fee) if request received by 5pm on March 8. After that date, due to guarantees we must give vendors, refunds are not available. Also, full refund available if entire event is cancelled (not likely). 50% refund if we have the dinner and concert, but cannot burn due to unusual weather. No refunds for registered participants who do not attend but did not request a refund by the cancellation deadline.
